[Finalised] Salman Khan sentenced to 5 Year jail in Blackbuck Poaching case

A sad to news to all fans of Bhai Salman khan out there.

A Jodhpur court has sentenced Salman Khan to five years in prison and imposed a fine 10,000 INR in the 1998 Blackbuck poaching case.

He will not be granted for any kind of instant bail as the quantum of his punishment is more than three years.

Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Neelam, and Tabu, who were also the co-accused in the case, were acquitted.


What was the case?

Salman Khan was accused of killing two blackbucks in Bhagoda ki Dhani in Kankani village near Jodhpur on the intervening night of October 1-2, 1998, during the shooting of Hum Saath Saath Hain. He has been convicted under Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, which carries a maximum punishment of six years and minimum one-year jail term.
